The Large KABOOM has been created on the back of the resounding success of the XL KABOOM! Those that have run the larger versions of the KABOOM will know that this shape is one that will create a lot of commotion, push a lot of water and run as straight as an arrow - all the ingredients for a giant marlin magnet! The Large KABOOM will be a perfect short or long corner lure for those running 50lb gear for blue marlin, or an ideal long corner or short rigger in a heavy tackle spread. A lot of people have been asking for this shape for a long time and we have delivered! -
The Large Bandit was one of the first shapes created at TANTRUM Lures and probably the most successful to date. With countless tournament wins and 500lb+ blue marlin to its credit, the largest (so far) on this proven winner is a 985lb blue marlin caught by Captain Jeff Le Strange in Vava'u Tonga. Its enticing action featuring plenty of splash and wiggle has proven irresistible to big blue and black marlin time and time again. The Bandit is most well known as a short rigger and long corner lure but will genuinely run beautifully in any position - it really is one of those lures that should be out there every day you're blue marlin fishing. The Large Tube was the first tube we created in our range in the early days and one of our all time favourites. In fact, we love it so much that it became the inspiration for our logo over ten years ago. The Tube is a flat water specialist and its action will have you mesmerised as it shoots plumes of white water in to the air with its aggressive rooster-tailing action. We have many fond memories of this classic shape but one that stands out is a special day off Sydney when four blue marlin from 300 to 650 pounds were all over it while run on the long rigger on a rare glassy calm day. Every true lure fisherman should have a Large Tube rigged up and ready to go for those calm days, for those lucky enough to fish where the waters are consistently flat then this should be a full time player in your starting line up! The Large Tube has a wonderful ability to maintain an aggressive action from a relatively low towing angle where many other shapes may struggle on flat days. A favourite short rigger lure of Captain Chip Van Mols on the Luna in Kona Hawai'i, the AMN is a true all-weather lure that maintains its beautifully simple action from the calmest to the roughest conditions. In the 2015 Peter Goadby Memorial Tournament off Sydney, Alex Nuttall set a new 30lb women's Australian record and won this prestigious tournament with a 520lb blue marlin on the AMN. The Large Bullet was created following the incredible worldwide success of the Medium Bullet. We wanted to offer a bullet that would accommodate heavier leader and larger hooks as it has been proven time and time again that giant blue and black marlin love these things! The Large Bullet spends most its time just under the surface creating a phenomenon that those in the know refer to as the "black water ripple" with the occasional skitter across the surface. Needless to say its subtle action will be irresistible to all the pelagic predators in your local waters.
